Academics
At Northern Arizona University, we see our Sorority women succeed highly in academics. It is not uncommon to see sisters studying together in the library and all around campus! All sororities have their own requirements of study hours and have special programming focused on enhancing the academic experience of their members.
Director of Scholarship, Shaniece, tells us why she believes academics are such an important aspect to Greek Life!
“Academics are extremely important in greek life on campus. We are all students first. Being involved in the greek community is only meant to add to our college experience and provide a support system all things collegiate life has to offer especially academics. Excelling in our classes should always be our first priority.”
Order of Omega
Sorority women in their sophomore and junior years have the opportunity to join the Order of Omega, a national honor society for Greek members who exhibit outstanding academics and involvement in the Greek community. Members are chosen based upon their scholastic performance, leadership in their Greek-letter organizations, and service to the fraternity and sorority community and local communities. Students whose GPAs are at or above the all-Greek average at their schools are eligible for membership. For more information email:naugreeks@nau.edu
